Referrals to the service

If you feel that you would benefit from Housing Related Support you may apply to be considered for the service by completing a referral form or by asking your landlord, or an agency working with you, to make the referral for you.

You can download the referral form from this page, alternatively you can telephone us or come into the office to collect one. It is very important that the referral form is completed in full so that we may assess whether or not the service is suitable for you.

Once a referral form is received, the form will be assessed and if our service appears to be suitable for you, we will write to you offering you an appointment to discuss the service further.

**UPDATE as of 23rd November 2010**

It is with regret that we have decided to close the waiting lists for the Family and the Generic Support Services due to the service being oversubscribed.  Therefore, with immediate effect, referrals will no longer be accepted for either service and the situation will be reviewed on the 1^st February 2011.

Please note that the list remains open for the Teenage Parent Support Service (for parents/parents to be, aged 21yrs and under) and the Rutland Support Service, therefore referrals should be made and will be dealt with in the normal way.

Please be assured that the decision to close the waiting lists for the Family and Generic Support Service has not been taken lightly. The Bridge is committed to helping those who are vulnerably housed and recognises that the current economic climate makes this work particularly relevant.

**UPDATE as of 20th April 2011**

We are pleased to confirm that the Generic Waiting list is now open, therefore referrals are being taken as normal.  The waiting list for the Family Support Service has also been reopened but only those assessed as having an urgent need for support will be accepted due to the current limited funding for this service.
