Small Charities Week

Loughborough based housing organisation The Bridge are celebrating small charities week this week by fundraising at East Midlands Airport.

Our new ‘Team Member’ Bridget Bear has been overwhelmed by the response from children who have been lining up for hugs.

Passengers and airport staff have been fully supportive of The Bridge’s activities this week.  Staff, who have been assisted by students from Loughborough University, said that holiday makers have been very generous with their donations as they head off to sunny destinations.

The Bridge delivers a number of housing related services free of charge to the community of Charnwood. These services include independent housing advice, housing related support, mediation for young people at risk of homelessness and a single gateway service for all young people with a housing problem. All of the services are experiencing a huge increase in demand as the difficult economic climate continues to take a hold.
